He?s played Magneto and Gandalf, but now Ian McKellan is pulling an acting hat trick by portraying another famed literary icon, Sherlock Holmes, in the upcoming film Mr. Holmes.
In the new trailer to Mr. Holmes, McKellan plays the legendary detective in his twilight years. Long retired from his sleuthing days, McKellan's Sherlock reflects on his extraordinary life and one unsolved case involving a mysterious woman. Mr. Holmes hits theaters on July 17.??
