The Sony email hack continues to embarrass Hollywood. According to a newly discovered exchange, award winning actor and film director Ben Affleck insisted the producers of PBS documentary series "Finding Your Roots" hide the fact that one of his ancestors was a slave owner. In an email from last July - now made easily searchable on WikiLeaks - the show?s host Henry Louis Gates asks Sony USA chief Michael Lynton for advice on how to cope with Affleck's demand. Lynton suggests in his reply that the show complies, as long as nobody would find out about it. Ultimately, the show didn't mention the slave owning ancestor and preferred to focus on Affleck's 3rd great-grandfather who was an occult enthusiast, and on his mother, who, appropriately, marched for Civil Rights during the Freedom Summer of 1964. Gates explained in an interview to AP over the weekend that it was simply a more interesting choice for the show.??
