According to Comicbook.com, "A previously-untitled horror movie produced by Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, which had been slated for a surprise release later this year, has received its title and a new release date." The film is now called "BrightBurn" and it is expected to be shot in November and released on May 24th, 2019. This is a six month push back from what was originally planned. Many filmmakers wonder if it's because of the inappropriate and controversial tweets Gunn posted that cost him his director position on the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' series.
