According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, surviving members of Lynyrd Skynyrd cannot prevent the release of a movie created with help from a former drummer, and which depicts the plane crash that killed the band's lead singer. The 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan overturned by a 3-0 vote a permanent injunction that had prevented Los Angeles-based Cleopatra Records from distributing "Street Survivors: The True Story of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash.? Reuters reports that the movie was partially based on the memories of Artimus Pyle, one of 20 survivors of the October 1977 crash of Lynyrd Skynyrd?s touring plane in Mississippi, which claimed the lives of lead singer Ronnie Van Zant and five others on board.
