VIDEO : Gwendoline Christie On Playing Brienne

Business Insider reports actor Gwendoline Christie who plays Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones tells Evening Standard Magazine that people close to her didn't understand why she wanted to audition for the role. She says, "They saw all of the fighting, the physicality, the fact that it was a character who was constantly being described as ugly. None of the people who knew me could understand why I would want to play that part." But she says that she is happy she went for it.
