According to a report by Broadcasting & Cable, NBC cancelled Norm Macdonald's appearance on the Tonight Show after comments he made defending Louis C.K. and Roseanne Barr who lost major jobs as a result of the MeToo movement. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, McDonald said that he was 'happy the MeToo movement has slowed down a little bit,' and suggested that the public show a little more forgiveness for stars like Louis C.K. and Roseanne Barr. In response to backlash from the comment, MacDonald wrote on Twitter, "Roseanne and Louis have both been very good friends of mine for many years. They both made terrible mistakes and I would never defend their actions. If my words sounded like I was minimizing the pain that their victims feel to this day, I am deeply sorry.?
