According to a report by Uproxx, Disney's legal team put a stop to an interesting Easter Egg that the Russo Brothers wanted to slip into Avengers: Infinity War. In an interview with Huffpost, the directing duo revealed that Steve Roger's phone number in the film was originally meant to be a real number that fans could call. Joe Russo said, "We actually had intended to create a fake voicemail from Steve Rogers." According to the interview, the idea, which may have started back in Captain America: Civil War, was that fans who called the number on screen would receive a voicemail from Captain America himself. Anthony Russo reportedly said, "And that number was the actual number that we were going to use. We were sort of given that number. We had it all ready to go, but legal took that away from us."
