For the last three weeks, ?Avengers: Infinity War? has reigned over the box office, putting itself on course to becoming the first summer blockbuster ever to gross $2 billion worldwide. However its rule over US theatres is now expected to end with Fox?s ?Deadpool 2,? projected to take the No. 1 spot on the charts from the MCU mega-crossover. Independent trackers expect the sequel to at least match the $132 million opening weekend scored by the first ?Deadpool? movie in 2016, which was then a record for film releases in the month of February.
