Actor Emile Hirsch has taken to social media to drum up support for a sequel to the movie adaptation of 'Speed Racer'. At the time of its release of 2008, the film wasn't very received, sitting at only 40 percent positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie, which was directed by The Wachowski brothers, also took in less than $100 million worldwide on a budget of $120 million. In a concours-twitter.htm">twitter post, Hirsch wrote, "The Wachowskis said long ago that the sequel to SPEED RACER would be mind-blowing. And the script is written. Waiting. RETWEET this to show them just how many people love the movie and want to see the next one."
