The Simpsons did not predict the Toys "R" Us bankruptcy. Although it has predicted other major events, including Donald Trump's presidency, further inspection has revealed that a Simpsons episode about the popular toy store chain did not include it shutting down. In the episode, Moe removes the backwards "R" from a Toys "R" Us and replaces it in the "right" way, leading to children crying. However, the children are crying due to the abuse of power by adults in the episode, rather than the store closing.
