Addie Zinone claims that she entered into a brief sexual relationship with Matt Lauer when she was 24 and working as a production assistant at the Today show. At the time, Lauer was in his 40s and married to current wife Annette Roque. Now 41-year-old Zinone told Variety that Lauer flirted with her over employee messaging in June 2000 and then set up a lunch meeting with her. Zinone said, ?He was there to hit on me and manipulate the situation, and I fell for it." She said that he later asked her to meet in a dressing room. She explained, "It was a consensual encounter." She added, ?He went after the most vulnerable and the least powerful ? and those were the production assistants and the interns."
