VIDEO : Michael Fassbender's 'The Snowman' Slammed By Critics

The Michael Fassbender-led movie "The Snowman" hits theaters this weekend, but critics have already slammed it. The film is based on Jo Nesbø's best-selling novel of the same name, published in 2007. Fassbender stars as Harry Hole, a detective investigating serial killings in Norway that involve a snowman. Rebecca Ferguson and Charlotte Gainsbourg co-star. The movie has a 26% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. IndieWire's Mike McCahill wrote in his review: "Beyond [the] stellar opening credits, there stretch two hours of icy, mostly lifeless waste." iNews UK's Matthew Turner wrote, "'The Snowman' is something of a wash-out, lacking anything resembling thrills, chills or suspense. It is, in a word, abominable.""
