In light of the recent wave of sexual harassment and assault accusations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, a joke Seth MacFarlane made during the announcement of the 2013 Academy Award nominees is going viral. During the announcement, MacFarlane read off the nominees for best supporting actress, and said "Congratulations, you five ladies no longer have to pretend to be attracted to Harvey Weinstein.? MacFarlane has since come out and shared that the joke was prompted by his friend, Jessica Barth, and her stories of alleged sexual harassment at the hands of Weinstein. MacFarlane tweeted this, and added that he "respects and applauds" those coming forward with their stories.
