VIDEO : 'Stranger Things' Poster Mimics 'Nightmare On Elm Street'

A new poster for Netflix's hit series "Stranger Things" pays homage to the 1980s horror film franchise "A Nightmare on Elm Street." In addition to being a horror/sci-fi series, the Netflix drama is also set in the 1980s and includes many references to '80s pop culture. The musical score of "Stranger Things" also invokes ?80s cinema, with synthesizer-heavy tracks, similar to that of legendary director and composer John Carpenter. Both Freddy Krueger and the Demogorgon primarily target children and teenagers, and both attack outside of reality. "Stranger Things" season 2 debuts October 27th on Netflix.
